My student George Chen won another piano competition and has received an Honorable Mention Diploma at Bluegrass Competition which is one of the most prestigious competitions in Kentucky. Judges has chosen only one winner and given one Honorable Mention Diploma in each age group. I admire this little gentleman for his hard work, musicality and love for piano music! Last Saturday, on December 19th we had two zoom recitals with our piano students. It was so much fun to perform at our online concerts! Yesterday my student Leila Thomas made a recording of her favorite Christmas song "Sleigh Ride" by L. Anderson. Since we can't make a live concert, my students and I have decided to record little videos of their favorite Christmas song to share them with online audience. Today one of my students and Samir recorded a classical piece for saxophone and piano. After the recording they decided to have fun and played "Imagine" by John Lennon. I could capture the moment and made a video. This song is so powerful and touching. I can listen to it again and again, imaging that our world is a better place... This year was pretty rough for everyone. My staff and I just wanted to brighten every student's Christmas time. Recently, I bought beautiful music boxes for all of our students. I love watching them while they are opening their gifts! So much happiness and joy on their cute faces! Can't be happier with the results!
