An Evening of Excellence at Steinway Gallery & A Season of Inspiration Ahead

There are moments in music that stay with us — not only for their beauty, but for the people, the atmosphere, and the inspiration they bring. Recently, I had the honor of attending the Teacher Appreciation Dinner at Steinway Gallery in Miramar, an elegant gathering that brought together distinguished piano educators and members of the renowned Steinway STEP Program.
The evening unfolded with refined charm: a captivating chamber music performance, a beautifully curated dinner, and meaningful conversations with fellow professionals who share a deep commitment to artistic excellence and education. Events like these remind us that music is not only something we teach — it is something we live and continuously grow within.
During the presentation, Steinway shared important updates for the coming years. While the tradition of awarding physical diplomas to top teachers has been discontinued, the recognition itself continues. I am deeply honored to remain among the Steinway Top Piano Teachers, a distinction that reflects ongoing dedication to high-level piano instruction and artistic development. Though the diploma may now be digital, the prestige and meaning behind it remain timeless.
For generations, Steinway & Sons has defined the highest standard in the piano world. Its unparalleled craftsmanship, expressive depth, and responsiveness create an extraordinary connection between artist and instrument. When you sit at a Steinway, it does more than produce sound — it responds, it communicates, it inspires. As the proud owner of a Steinway Model B grand piano, I experience this dialogue every day in both my teaching and performance.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Rick Rice, the longtime manager of Steinway Gallery Miramar, whose more than 40 years of dedication have shaped and elevated the piano community in San Diego. His leadership, vision, and support for both teachers and students continue to leave a lasting legacy in our musical environment.
Being part of the Steinway community is both an honor and a source of constant inspiration. The gallery’s commitment to hosting high-quality musical events for teachers and students — offered free of charge — creates invaluable opportunities for growth, connection, and artistic enrichment throughout the year.

Looking ahead, I am delighted to invite you to our upcoming Pianissimo Summer Piano Concert, taking place on June 6 at Steinway Gallery in Miramar.
This special event will showcase the artistry and dedication of my students, alongside a highlight that is particularly close to my heart:
✨ A world premiere performance of a new composition for saxophone and piano, which I will perform together with my husband, Samir Kambarov.
Creating and presenting new music is an essential part of artistic growth, and I am excited to share this unique moment with our audience.
