On May 3rd, I was honored to be invited by Steinway & Sons Corporation to participate in a unique project—testing a Boston piano that had been upgraded with Steinway hammers. This was an unforgettable experience that combined my love for piano with my curiosity for sound and mechanics.

As soon as I placed my hands on the keys, I could feel the difference. The action was noticeably lighter and more responsive, allowing me to play with greater ease and sensitivity. What truly amazed me, however, was the transformation in the tone and color of the instrument.

✨ The high register was more brilliant and clear without becoming harsh.

✨ The bass sounded deeper, richer, and more resonant.

✨ Overall, the tone became more balanced and expressive, and it was much easier to shape phrases and explore dynamic contrasts.

The upgraded Boston piano allowed me to express myself more freely—the music flowed more naturally, and I could explore nuances that simply weren’t as accessible before. The Steinway hammers brought a whole new level of refinement and artistry to the Boston piano.

As a teacher and performer, sound matters deeply to me. I’m passionate about helping students understand the subtleties of tone and technique, and having a responsive, expressive instrument makes all the difference. I truly enjoyed being part of this evaluation and sharing my thoughts with the Steinway team.

I’m incredibly grateful to the Steinway Piano Gallery in Miramar for inviting me to be part of this special project. It means so much to be included in something that brings innovation and artistry together.
