Last Saturday we performed at the Opening Night at Churchill Downs. Our performance was sponsored by "Funds for the Arts" in collaboration with Churchill Downs. My friends Oleg and Natalia Bezuglov performed my "Hymnal Fantasia" and "Concertino" for violin and piano. Samir and I played "Marine Pictures" and "Christmas Suite" for saxophone and piano. You can find all these compositions on my newest CD "Unchained". We were thrilled and honored to entertain people on the third floor in Turf Club. It was such an interesting experience for all of us! Especially for this event, Kyle Dusenbury provided a wonderful baby grand piano that he brought in all the way from his piano shop in Elizabeth town "Dusenbury & Sons Piano". We looked and sounded very professional and bright. The audience was happy to enjoy the sound of music and made compliments about our fancy outfits. At the end of our adventure we had a chance to participate in Derby by placing a few bets. It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
