We are proud to share that our student, Jacob Wu, recently received Second Prize in composition at the Beethoven International Music Competition UK for his original symphonic work, Elysium.
The official results of the Beethoven International Music Competition UK have now been released, and Jacob’s name has been proudly listed among the award winners. This remarkable recognition celebrates his outstanding achievement as a young composer.

Jacob’s award-winning composition, written for symphony orchestra, demonstrates exceptional creativity, musical depth, and orchestral imagination. Through expressive themes, rich harmonies, and cinematic textures, Elysium reflects both artistic maturity and a unique compositional voice.
Receiving international recognition through WOMCO is a significant achievement for any young composer. Jacob’s success highlights not only his dedication and passion for music, but also the countless hours of study, creativity, and refinement that went into the creation of Elysium.

We are incredibly proud of Jacob and excited to see his continued growth as a composer and musician. His accomplishment serves as an inspiration to fellow students and young artists pursuing their own creative journeys.
