I was thrilled to receive a video from my friend who made a surprise for me by recording one of my romances "Village Swallow" that I wrote almost 20 years ago. Recently, it was performed in one of the theaters in Russia. This romance is a part of a vocal cycle which I wrote on the lyrics of the famous poet Rasul Gamzatov. This year people around the world are celebrating his 100th birthday. I am glad that my composition was part of this celebration and has already been performed in my Motherland several times throughout the years. I am very excited that my music has its own way to grow and glow as a part of music history that it belongs to.
